Sieg III Wilfred Sieg began the WXOX mural on Oct. 15, 2018 and completed it within a matter of weeks. Located at 515 W. Breckinridge Street, this painting makes the station’s exterior a beacon of color and energy symbolic of the diverse programming happening daily on WXOX 97.1 FM. Centrally located between Downtown and Old Louisville; Sobro and the West End, this mural, like the station itself, is a gateway between neighborhoods and a warm welcome to the community. Special thanks to Dages Paint Company for their generous donation of paint supplies and to Sunbelt Rentals for the aerial work platform. This project is facilitated by the LVA Mural Program and we are extremely thankful for their help and encouragement to get this painting started. We will be looking for community involvement in the preparation and celebration of this wall! Look out for further details . . . |
